Drift Heat Synopsis:
I didn't want to only be known as the pretty, blonde daughter of a famous race car driver. I wanted to make a name for myself and I wasn't going to let anyone get in my way. So when I saw the opportunity of a lifetime, I jumped. Being the face of the hottest new racing team in the business was a dream come true.
Until he showed up.
Griffin McGregor. Bad boy star driver. On the track, he's gold. Off the track? He's everything my daddy ever warned me about. Infuriatingly egotistical, explosive temper, argumentative know-it-all...why does he have to be so freaking hot?
It'll be a miracle if we can get this team to the championship title without killing each other. Or worse. Because the last thing I'm going to do is wreck my career by jumping in bed with a race car driver.
Adrian Hale Bio:
Adrian R. Hale is a whirlwind of energy and optimism, just as ready to tell you about her books as she is to invite you over for cookies. She is a big dreamer and believes in chasing them down with speed and enthusiasm, much like the characters she writes. You can find her cycling around Austin, TX, running trails, baking gourmet cupcakes, beautifying people for weddings and photo shoots, and traveling all over the country in pursuit of those interests. Once upon a time, Adrian went to college thinking she would be a journalist but dropped out to go to beauty school. Later she wrote a novel about a hair and makeup artist, so things have definitely come full circle! She loves hearing from her readers at email@example.com.

I definitely have an affinity to race car drivers and was anxious to get my hands on this one, and it did not disappoint. This is the first book by this author that I've read and the development of the characters, main and side, is so in depth that you'd swear they were real. The plot and story-line are amazingly written and you can't help but get lost in the book.
Griffin is the resident bad boy of the drift scene. He's arrogant, argumentative, conceited, has an ego the size of Saturn, and for some reason lures Shelby in. The naughty things he's capable of will make you blush and his attraction to Shelby and inevitably his caring nature shine through.
Shelby is the daughter of a renowned NASCAR driver and is always eclipsed in his shadow. Introduced to promo modeling through a friend, Shelby uses it to gain some of the spotlight on her as a person. She takes a job with Smoke and Mirrors as their new face and has a tumultuous first meeting with Griffin, who is not too happy that Shelby will be the new face for the team. Shelby can't believe that she's instantly attracted to the bad boy but holds her own when he confronts her. Shelby is not a mouse by any means and she's not your typical heroine. She's outspoken, doesn't take crap from anyone, especially Griffin, and is determined to prove herself as needed in the ego driven field of racing.
All-in-all, this book was amazing from start to finish. Through Griffin and Shelby's ups-and-downs, the make-ups, the break-ups, you fall absolutely in love. 1-click this one, you will not be disappointed!
