Not your typical rocker romance and I loved it! Diesel is the front man for the band SIN (Sex in Numbers). He's all ego, brash, and sometimes just downright rude. However, he's keeping a secret from everyone on the quest to get the band signed to a record deal.
Lourdes is an introvert and a wannabe goth. She's hiding pain she's never told anyone about behind the makeup and super baggy clothes. She's come to stay with Xander, her step-brother and member of the band, for the summer before starting school. She's not looking for a man, never mind love and has mixed emotions about her attraction to Diesel. She doesn't want to want him but you can;t fight the inevitable.
The relationship between the two is a slow build as they both fight what they are feeling for each other. Plus Diesel is an in-and-out guy so its kind of hard picturing him having feelings. The male characters are immature but with the ages of the characters it's not to be unexpected. When Lourdes finally decides to let go of her past, she stumbles on Diesel's secret. That is how the book ends and when I looked at the % to the end of the book, I was excited to turn the page to see what happens, but alas, must wait for book 2.
